What we do in South Arlington

Repairs, electrical and weekly service from one company

Most pool calls in South Arlington are one of three things: equipment that quit, a pump or breaker that is acting up, or a pool that needs looking after every week. We do all three.

The call we get most

When the pool pump keeps tripping the breaker

A pump that trips the breaker is telling you something is wrong on the electrical side or inside the motor. The usual causes are a motor that is failing, water getting into the wiring or the motor, or a breaker or GFCI that has worn out. Resetting it over and over does not fix any of them.

It is a job that sits right on the line between a pool company and an electrician, which is why it so often gets passed back and forth. We test the pump and the circuit feeding it in the same visit, and fix whichever one is at fault.

Verify the license. The electrical work is done by a journeyman electrician, Texas TDLR license 424069, working under the general supervision of a master electrician as Texas requires. You can look the license up yourself at the TDLR license search.

Permits and codes in Arlington

Arlington adopted the 2021 International Codes and the 2020 National Electrical Code, and permit applications have had to meet them since January 1, 2023. Pool work and electrical work each have their own permit type with the city.

Texas also draws a line on who can do what. Swapping a pump or motor for one of the same type is ordinary repair work. Adding a new circuit or upgrading the one that feeds the pool is work that only a licensed electrical contractor with a master electrician can offer. We tell you before we start which side of that line your job is on, and whether it needs a permit.

Weekly service in South Arlington

Weekly service starts at $199 a month, and most pools land between $199 and $299, chemicals included. Where yours falls depends on the size, the trees around it, the equipment and whether it is salt. Filter cleans are billed separately, usually about twice a year. Every visit includes vacuuming, brushing, emptying the baskets, checking the pump and filter, and balancing the water. Questions we get

South Arlington pool service FAQs

Do you serve all of Arlington?

We focus on South Arlington, the side of the city next to Mansfield and Kennedale. If you are farther north, call and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.

How much is weekly pool service in South Arlington?

Weekly service starts at $199 a month, and most pools land between $199 and $299. Where yours falls depends on the size, the trees around it, the equipment and whether it is a salt pool. Chemicals are included; filter cleans are billed separately, usually about twice a year.

My pool pump keeps tripping the breaker. Can you fix that?

Yes. A pump that trips the breaker is usually a failing motor, water getting into the wiring, or a bad breaker or GFCI. The electrical work is done by a journeyman electrician, so the pump and the circuit feeding it get tested by the same person instead of two companies.

Do I have to sign up for weekly service to get a repair?

No. We do one-time equipment repairs and pool electrical work for South Arlington homes whether or not you are on a weekly route.

Does my repair need a City of Arlington permit?

It depends on the work. New circuits and other changes to how the pool is wired are the kind of job that needs a licensed electrical contractor and, often, a permit. We tell you before we start whether your job needs one. For your own questions, Arlington Planning and Development Services is at 817-459-6502.

Call, or request a callback and tell us what the pool or the equipment is doing. If it is weekly service you want, roughly how big the pool is helps us price it.
